Dickinsons Furnishers has been a cornerstone of home interiors in the North of England since 1878. As the longest-established family-run furniture, flooring, and interiors retailer in the region, we bring generations of expertise to every project — from a single armchair to a complete home transformation.
Our Heritage
Founded in Northumberland in 1878, Dickinsons has remained a family-run business for over 140 years. Our client base stretches from Berwick on Tweed down to North Yorkshire, and we serve both domestic customers and contract clients with the same dedication to quality and service.
In 2007, we were honoured to receive the UK Independent Interiors Retailer of the Year award at the NEC in Birmingham — recognition of our commitment to excellence in home furnishings and customer care.
What We Offer
We are a true one-stop shop for interiors, covering furniture, beds and bedroom collections, carpets and flooring, curtains and blinds, wallpaper and paint, and accessories. Our specialist divisions include a Contract Division for commercial clients, rental furniture solutions, and curated furniture packs for show-homes and landlords.
We stock leading brands across every category — from Silentnight and Rest Assured in bedding to Amtico and Brintons in flooring, and from Farrow & Ball and Little Greene in paint to Designers Guild and Clarke & Clarke in fabrics and wallpapers.
